The coming year promises to be quite a breakthrough for our industry. This year, regulations governing the work of agencies enter into force. This means that not everyone can become a real estate agent anymore!

To become an agent and run your own office, you must obtain a real estate sales license. This involves theoretical preparation, having a university degree in real estate sales or completing an appropriate course.

A very important requirement is also to have adequate and high insurance, which, if necessary, will cover possible damage to customers.

All these changes are intended to bring order to the market, where recently there have been a lot of people impersonating agents without any knowledge of this job.

Why did this happen?

The period of the COVID-19 pandemic meant that people who had nothing to do with real estate, seeing the incoming number of customers who wanted to safely invest their capital, chose the real estate industry as an occasional form of earning money!

Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine has contributed even more to the fact that our market is flooded with unaffiliated, non-paying "real estate advisors". Unfortunately, the effect is that these people spoil the good name of the sector and impersonate a real estate agent without knowing the subject and very often even without knowing Spanish!

No wonder so many people see great earning potential in real estate.

In 2022, we recorded as much as 43% increase in transactions in our office compared to 2021.

– see if it has physical offices and does not exist only virtually on the Internet,

– check if they cooperate with a lawyer and an accountant,

– find out exactly what they offer as pre-sales service and what as after-sales service.

The easiest way is to sell real estate, especially in the absence of product exclusivity. Anyone can sell, especially when customers come to buy real estate.

However, the wave of clients who come to us every day asking for help because after signing the notarial deed they are left alone is disturbing.

After-sales customer care should be included in the scope of services of every office, and therefore real estate agent, not only when making a purchase decision, but also after receiving the keys to the property.
